Tour to Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin town) - one of the most beautiful imperial residences in Russia
Already at the entrance to the town, wide parks, palace pavilions and golden domes open up, and behind the trees the main decoration of the residence gradually appears - the Catherine Palace.
In front of the palace stretches the famous blue facade almost 300 meters long, decorated with columns, stucco and gilded details. On a sunny day, the palace literally shines, preserving the solemn appearance of the era of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna.
Inside, guests are greeted by a ceremonial enfilade of halls: the luxurious Grand Hall for court balls, halls with gilded carvings and the famous Amber Room - one of the most famous works of decorative art in the world.
Behind the palace stretches the huge Catherine Park with ponds, bridges, pavilions and quiet alleys. Here you can see the Cameron Gallery, elegant pavilions in the antique style and picturesque corners where Catherine II and court nobility once strolled.

History of the Catherine Palace
The imperial residence - the Grand Catherine Palace. It was only during the reign of Elizabeth Petrovna that the settlement turned into a true imperial residence. Under Elizabeth, the palace was rebuilt twice and finally acquired its present appearance under the guidance of the famous Italian architect F.B. Rastrelli, who created many genuine masterpieces in the style of Russian Baroque in St. Petersburg at the time.
The town has a rich history. Initially, on this site there was a small Swedish estate, Saari Manor, which Peter I gave to his future wife Catherine Alexeyevna in 1710.
